I have explored connections and memory through the representation of fibre. The work draws on beholden knowledge and haptic process, which is often preserved even in the absence of memory. Using natural and repurposed material I create sculpture to stimulate the senses. Touch and textural qualities displayed through knots and nets trigger sense-memory or stimulate curiosity of material and form. The practical and symbolic elements of tradition are threads that inform my work.
